Although we shut the renowned Fire N Ice in 2004, patrons of the place still have fond memories of the time they spent there. It was a unique concept at the time and Mumbai's first real night club. Very few clubs in Mumbai evoke such strong memories, but Fire N Ice does. The team, the theme, the music, the location- it was a powerful idea. It was once home to the city's rich & famous before it closed down.
The idea of recreating the concept for one night was to be able to meet old timers and to introduce new party goers to what Fire N Ice meant as a brand to people. We knew all of our regulars would love to revisit old memories, even if it was just for a day. And that's how the concept was born. We chose Tote as the venue as it is relatively close to the previous location of Fire N Ice which was at Phoenix Mills. It is also large enough to hold the kind of crowd that we were expecting and they allowed us to play different genres across the levels.
There were two music rooms, seven DJs and a one hour flashback set where old Fire N Ice hits were played. It was indeed a night to remember and it definitely lived up to the expectations we had. We are glad that we were able to make the Fire n Ice pop-up night live up to its promise of reuniting old patrons and rekindling the old party spirit.
Party on Mumbai!
